Power Down - The Power of One

This morning on our announcements, Briar and Tristan from the Environment Club shared this message with us:

"On Friday everyone will be getting a form that asks you what you did at home for Earth Hour.  Fill in the form and get it signed by your parent.  Return the form to school by Wednesday March 30 and Environment Club members will collect it for you.  Every form that is signed and returned will count as another Green Project.  Help Cameron Street become an EARTH SCHOOL 2 with 2000 GREEN projects and initiatives completed.  Each form will be entered into a draw for prizes.  The prizes are T-Shirts, activity booklets and stickers.  Each person does make a difference.  This is our school, our town, our country and our planet - let's keep it GREEN by using less energy.  So remember 'TURN IT OFF!'".

What a great message.  We look forward to receiving your form letting us know what you did at your house to recognize EART HOUR this Saturday evening, March 26.  Power down non essential lighting in your home for one hour this Saturday evening.  That is as simple and easy as it can be!  The power of one can be powerful for all of us!  Happy EARTH HOUR.

Mr. Giffen
