The Big Crunch

FoodShare invites us to take the Big Crunch challenge this Thursday afternoon at 2:30. I will bring apples for students to enjoy. FoodShare is an organization that promotes health and nutrition and a better understanding of local and global initiatives related to food production and consumption. It is important that we stay well fed and well nourished. Our students will enjoy a locally grown apple. From the blossom to the bushel basket, apples provide a healthy and nutritious snack for millions around the world. FoodShare was founded in 1985 by then Mayor of Toronto, Art Eggleton, and others concerned about the growth of hunger and food banks that had taken place in the wake of the recession of the early 1980’s. FoodShare’s original mandate was to co-ordinate emergency food services, and to collect and distribute food. For more information, please visit www.foodshare.net
