Read All About It!
WHO: Our students, our staff and our families
WHAT: Let’s Read All About It! That is the smart thing to do. We read to learn. We read to imagine. We read to communicate. We read for fun!
WHERE: Hand in your entry to Mr. Giffen’s mailbox or email Mr. Giffen mgiffen@scdsb.on.ca . Mr. Giffen will share your entry with the school and place your name into the draw to receive a Read All About It! prize.
WHY: It is important to share good books with other people and to communicate our reasons why we recommend such books to others.
HOW: Tell Mr. Giffen what you are reading right now. Name the author, the illustrator of a book you have recently read and recommend. Write a brief summary of the book to tell why you recommend it.
WHEN: Hand in or send your entry to Mr. Giffen to celebrate Family Literacy Day by Thursday January 27, 2011. On his blog, Mr. Giffen will share your entry with others and will make the Read All About It! prize draw on Friday January 28, 2011.
